A Silver Cigarette Case With Insignia Of Bavarian St. George Awarded To Officer 1901 Newly Listed leather remains soft & flexibleSolid silver case, standard size (85mm x 95mm), weighs 154 grams, marked 800 along with German Imperial silver hallmark (Crown), hand engraved, dated 1901 (awarded for a third prize by his fellow Officers); with miniature insignia of the Military House Order of St. George riveted to the case (24mm x 24mm), finely crafted in silver, center in Gold, all enameled; some chipping to enamels, in worn condition, very unusual and very attractive.
